Today, after investments, acquisitions, expansions and enthusiasm, Nuceria Group is a large packaging group with a specialized division for the pharmaceutical industry. For the 2017 event, Nuceria Group did not miss the opportunity to ring the famous bell on the Nilpeter stand, marking the on-show sale of a press, further strengthening their historic partnership with the leading Danish narrow web printing press manufacturer.
With a strong focus on excellence and cutting-edge technologies in the combined digital printing industry, Nuceria is betting on their latest Nilpeter addition, The PANORAMA Hybrid, to further the cause. The new press supports five InkJet digital colours in combination with flexo processes, silkscreen, cold foil, and quick-change die-cutting.

General Manager of Nuceria, Guido Iannone, explains the decision to invest, ”We have deemed it necessary to enhance the production capacities at both our sites in order to become more flexible and to be able to offer our customers the highest quality”. Guido Iannone adds, ”We want to be able to welcome new customers – with new product portfolios – and to that end we need the latest generation in technology. We must be able to make labels of a very high aesthetic standard”.
Guido Iannone goes on to explain that Nuceria’s sustainable investment will also ensure ”extensive optimisation of workflows to increase internal efficiency, reduce start-up time and reduce production waste”.
The choice of Nilpeter as preferred supplier is based on a decision to only settle for excellence. Guido Iannone says, “We already have a partnership with the historical Nilpeter, a leader in the field of narrow web printing presses. The Nilpeter MO-Line is already present in the Nuceria plant. For years Nuceria has demonstrated how the MO-4 press perfectly combines the flexibility of combination – even with roto technology – with the absolute quality of offset technology (up to 11 print colors) to meet the needs of each application.
At LabelExpo Europe 2013, the renowned Italian converter decided to invest in yet another MO-4.
The MO-4 acquired at Labelexpo Europe 2013 follows just one year after the latest MO-4 installation at Nuceria’s plant in San Giuliano Milanese. The new 11-colour, 420-mm MO-4 integrates offset, flexo, screen printing, as well as hot and cold foil to give to the Milanese plant the necessary flexibility to meet the company’s target growth within the personal care and beverage segments.
Guido Iannone, General Manager of Nuceria Group, comments, ”The new PANORAMA Hybrid product line will be installed in our Milano Plant and will follow our strategy to set new industry standards in terms of flexibility, customisation, and supply chain excellence.”
“We have embraced the market trend towards customisation for a long time, and with this investment we will reach the next level. We have chosen Nilpeter’s PANORAMA because it perfectly combines the strength of the different technologies to build sustained value and transform something special into something truly unique,” he continues.
Delivering innovative products and solutions is a big part of the Nilpeter and Nuceria company DNA. “Consumers are becoming more and more demanding, and we believe the PANORAMA is a clear and innovative answer to these new requirements," said Peter Eriksen, COO of Nilpeter A/S. “We are proud to be a key partner of Nuceria Group in this exciting journey,” he concludes.
